Da ihr alle diesen Kimono so gefeiert habt fand ich, dass er einen Post auf meinem Blog verdient hat. Kimonos sind dieses Jahr ja sowieso „the shit“ und ich muss sagen, dass ich selten einen Trend so geliebt habe wie diesen. Ganz besonders liebe ich die sommerliche Kombi mit Denim Shorts und Top, denn so fühlt man sich sofort sehr gut angezogen. Für den Sommer eignen sich besonders leichte, luftige Kimonos. Mit einem Kimono in knalligen Farben und mit schönen Prints sieht jedes Basic Outfit gleich super stylisch aus!

Um die Wahrheit zu sagen, ist das gar kein richtiger Kimono, den ich hier trage – es ist eigentlich ein Kaftan, der zu einem Bikini gehört. Diese Kombi gab es vor zwei oder drei Jahren bei h&m und ich habe mich sofort in den Palmenprint verliebt. ♥

Der Unterschied zwischen Kaftan und Kimono? Ein Kaftan ist vorne geschlossen und wird wie ein Kleid oder eine Tunika getragen, während man einen Kimono wie einen Mantel tragen und üblicherweise mit einem Gürtel binden kann. Mein Kaftan kann über die komplette länge vorne zugeknöpft aber eben auch offen getragen werden. Zwei Kleidungsstücke in einem sozusagen 😉

Niemals hätte ich gedacht, dass ich den Kaftan heute nicht nur am Strand, sondern wie einen Kimono zu Shorts und Top kombinieren würde. Ich finde diesen Look gleichermaßen stylisch und lässig und liebe wie immer die Kombi von High Street Labeln und Designer Stücken. Kaftan, Top und Shorts sind von h&m, während Tasche, Gürtel und Sonnenbrille Designer Stücke sind und das gesamte Outfit gleich auf ein anderes Level heben. Since you all loved this kimono so much, I figured that it deserved a special outfit post on the blog. Kimonos are „the shit“ this year and I have to say that I’ve never loved a trend so much. Especially the combination of kimono with shorts is totally my thing, because I always feel well dressed when I wear it. Light and airy kimonos are perfect for summer. With a kimono in catchy colors and prints you can give any basic outfit a super stylish look!

To be completely honest, this is not even a real kimono – it’s a beach kaftan that came with a bikini. I had fallen in love with the palm tree print immediately when I spotted it at h&m a few years ago.

Are you wondering what’s the difference between a kimono and a kaftan? Well, I found that a kaftan is something like a dress or tuniqe, while a kimono is more like a coat and can be tied with a belt around the waist. My kaftan kann be be buttoned all the way down at the front but can also be worn open like a coat. So it’s basically a two in one piece 😉

Never did I think that I would wear this kaftan not only to the beach but as a kimono with shorts and a top these days! To me this look is equally stylish and casual and as usual I love to combine high street labels with designer pieces. Kaftan, top and shorts are from h&m, while bag, belt and sunnies are designer pieces and are taking the look to a whole new level.
